Full disclosure, If you can trade Barrie and Foegele...why not go for BOTH Toews and Kaner? How could 2x Conn Smythe winners be a bad thing? EDM would easily be the Cup favorite to win. Toews is still the guy that would go up against MacKinnon/Eichel/Matthews/etc... He's dominant at the dot and would help keep the puck away from the other team's superstars.

I'm not sure Kaner would waive to go to CGY. I think he'll either want to see his options and then decide. Sending Toews to EDM might give him confidence to waive to EDM. Maybe If Toews and Kane both to go CGY...maybe. But if it's not a package deal together to win this year, The Rangers are the best fit. The Rangers need 5v5 playmaking. That's what Kaner excels at. AND Panarin's already there.

Rangers need Kane. I think they’ll do a deal similar to this to get him in at 2.65m
