With Winnipeg re-tooling this could be a fit, just hard to say where they are at. Seems like it’s been a battle to retain players.

hard to tell values at this time of year. Brown just got a 2nd. Kerfoot is in that same tier in terms of money, skill, term.

2nd is more than fair for Kerfoot BUT cap has dried up and the Leafs may not get a 2nd now.

Bjorkstrand should have gotten way more than a 3rd and 4th also but his cap and term are a lot higher.

So we will see what he gets!

We will see how it plays out. I would play him over Muzzin and Holl. But he has to earn it. All good teams have 7-8 good dmen. Someone has to sit from time to time.

I think they are a mess and should sell but they haven't, and they have good pieces. So may as well go for it and support their players that are there if they don't sell!

even if someone wants Muzzin. he has a full no trade clause right now. So there is that also.

Kerfoot is clearly the easiest answer to solve the cap issue. EVEN though he is great and versatile player.

Nylander is a long shot option also.

As of now, Holl would be enough. Nobody knows what's going to happen, I think if Kerfoot was gone just to offload, it would have been done by now. I have zero doubt they are assessing all their options including bigger trades, or something even as simple as waiting until the last minute to get cap compliant to see if anything happens. Pretty easy to see there could be multiple different ways they could go.
