Mtl don't trade Suzuki Caufield Guhle and the first round pick in 2023. Anderson could stay and play with Dubois that could make a good second line with a offensive left winger.

What Jets would probably have as trade is Dvorak with one of the big cap roster player ( Drouin, Hoffman, Armia) maybe the first round in 2023 from Floride is Hughes feel generous and maybe a low prospect By.

The reason is simple, Dubois want out of Winnipeg, don't want to sign a big deal with any body and to be UFA in two years. He could also choose to not play if he don't get what he want.

Jets GM don't have any leverage to use on negotiation except that the right of Dubois is still with Winnipeg for two years. Otherwise he's like other GM (Guerrin with Fiala) (Hughes with Petry) they have less power or tools to negotiate because the player have goes public saying they want out or don't want to play on certain term (exemple not in Canada or in rebuilding team etc..)
