If you don't think Shesty, K'Andre Miller, Lindgren, Fox, Laffy, Kakko, Chytil and Schneider are part of their core, then you have a thinking issue.

Any time I ever did a Miller trade is as a joke to point out the ridiculousness of Canuck fans.

Half those players just started with the team. They haven't signed Kakko, Chytil was offered to be traded, Schneider played very sheltered minutes. Sure they are prospects with an eye for the future. But they aren't the core players that got NYR to the team it is now.
