Final roster question mark

Description
Are the Sharks done making moves for now? Thought they needed to make some trades to free up spots and cap space but it looks like this is a valid 23-man roster (unless I made some mistakes of course)

This is assuming Eklund and Bords begin the season in the AHL

My guess is that they sell midseason to give the new guys opportunities and open space for Meier extension (???)

Problems:

Where's Eklund and Bordeleau? They are almost certainly making the team.
You have vastly overpaid Lorentz. He is league min contract.
Scott Reedy will also likely make the team.
No point in Weatherby being a healthy scratch when he can help the Barracuda.
Lines are likely:
Timo-Tomy-Barby
Eklund-Cooch-Banker
Lindblom-Bordeleau-Kunin/Gregor
Bonino-Sturm-Reedy/Lorentz

Mario-EK65
Megna/Knyzhov-Merkley
Vlasic/Nutivaara-Benning

Agree that Eklund and Bords will make the roster some point this season, but I think it's possible that they start with the Cuda while players like Nieto, Bones and Gregor start with the Sharks and become trade pieces midseason

Regardless of lines though, I don't see the Sharks having to make any moves for now

Labanc was rumored by Friedman to be on the move. I hope that’s still the case.

Labanc has been rumored to be on the move, I wonder if the happen to just buy him out. It isnt a bad buy out. I think Eklund and Bordeleau are talented enough to make the roster but not sure Grier wants them there at this time. I would hope they move a goaltender too.

I don’t hate the Idea of starting Eklund and Bordeleau in the AHL to build confidence and gain some experience! unless of course they shine in camp and force their way into the lineup.
agree Lorentz is overpaid here, and if we’re paying Ferraro 3.5+ then I want an 8 year deal, but I feel a 2.8 for 2 year bridge deal
would work best. then we get the next 10 years and his big deal expires right at 33/34 instead of 35/36

move a goaltender is a must! otherwise why on earth bring back Dell (he’s a decent 3rd goalie)
and Labanc if we move him i would see if Seattle or Calgary would trade Donskoi or Monahan for him straight up!
both their deal expire at the end of this year where Labanc has 2 years but Labanc provides more offensive upside.

I'd take these deals too, but my guess is that the sharks haven't found a deal that's more favorable than just keeping him for now. Maybe they give him a chance to return to form this year so he becomes a better trade piece midseason? Buyout next season otherwise

Kinda disappointed they haven't moved a goalie now that the market has settled down. Best deal I could see now is moving Reimer/Hill as a backup option for a 3rd/4th rounder

think he has the skill to be a 2nd line RW with a coach who knows how to utelize him! fingers crossed he can rebound next year like Meier did this year.
