7 years x $7,250,000 = $50,750,000

Divide that number by 5 = $10,150,000 a year which would result in 4 first round picks. thats what the compensation package is. its in the fine print to discourage offer sheets over 5 years

The only way Oshie signs that cheap is if it's to stay in Washington, which he's already said he wants to do. And I guarantee you that Boston would match that, nor would the Sabres want to offer that. You wouldn't be able to get Hanifin for Reinhart straight up, so definitely not getting a pick as well. There's no need to get Fleury, Lehner will be more than enough once you get some defense around him. Fowler does that, but you won't be able to get any additional picks with him. You might not even be able to get Fowler for Kane straight up

Deep in centre? Eichel and ROR are the only two in Reinhart is traded. I don't understand all this trading of Reinhart. LHD are plentiful. Oh, add Bogosian to your lineup. He's as valuable to the Vegas at 5.5m as he is to the Sabres.

if you look we still have $6.3m in Cap Space so give Oshie 7m.. and if why are you dividing the salary by 5 instead of 7years (the AAV is $7.25m so thats a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) a rule i missed??

O'Reilly - Eichel - Reinhart... $7.5 - $8? - $6.5? you wanna spend $22m on three centers? you can not saying you can't but.. we have Girg, Ennis, Larsson who can play center, as well as Cornel, Grant, Hurley, Kea, and C. O'Reilly. Granted not all are NHLers, but there are players who can cover 3rd and 4th line center much cheaper.
