Kane aint getting that kind of return, (and rangers dont have the cap space for him now anyway). Hawks put a value on Kakko when they put a value on Kirby Dach last week: a 1st and 2nd rd pick. Dach was picked #3 after Kakko. Dach has 59 pts in 152 career games, Kakko has 58 pts in 159 games. Both have risk attached bc they have dealt with injuries and not scored at the level expected. Kakko is worth at least a top-15 pick, which means Kane is getting 2 more first rd picks than Alex DeBrincat, who is younger and better and comes with RFA rights.

Kane gets a 1st and a 2nd. Maybe throw in a mid level prospect.

Respectfully disagree with your comps... The Debrincat Trade was for the #7 overall pick. The Rangers next two seasons of 1st RD choices will be closer to 2nd Round picks than the #7 spot overall. Next Kane at 50% retained is going to make less than DeBrincat. Kane is a much more dynamic player than DeBrincat and Kane still average close to 1.17 PPG. Couple that with a Hart Trophy a few Stanley Cups and try and convince me the rest of the hockey world thinks DeBrincat has more trade value than Patrick Kane! Kane's trade value will stay where I predict it.
