After breaking the 11 year playoff drought for the Edmonton Oilers, its time to see what i believe they will do in the off-season.

The Trades
The Florida Panthers need a goal scorer as they are trying to bounce back from a year of hope to missing the playoffs once again with Jokinen regressing back from 32 points and who knows if Jagr will comeback to the Panthers or not they need a goal scorer to boost their offense already filled with Huberdeau, Barkov, Trocheck, Bjugstad, Reilly Smith. so what better place for Eberle to go than the Florida Panthers? He didn't step up in his only time in his only time he made the playoffs with the Oilers, only 2 assists in 13 games. The Panthers have alot of trade bait and could give away their prospects and picks for him as they already have prospects of the future to go and are still a young team. It will also help the Oilers clear cap space for McDavid's contract next season.

Free Agency
I see them resigning Desharnais to a 1 year deal to return on their 3rd or 4th line and Kris Russell back as they were solid for the Oilers and had an impact as soon as they came.

Do i think the Oilers make the playoffs?
Yes i believe they will return to the post-season even with less activity in the off-season than past seasons.
