Shirley, the Leafs can do better than having Murray and having Murray at 4.375m. I see no reason the Leafs would want Murray, and it seems CF are trying to best one another with poor trades.

Apparently dubas is working out a trade for him right now. Having just traded Mrazek dubas has a pretty firm grasp on what Murray's value is 50% retained.

Oh no. If Murray is expected to play for the Leafs as their top goalie......I see a Toronto GM being fired (or should be) next summer.

With the Sandin situation he may be fired sooner...

I don't know if you saw my comment on another post. IMO the Leafs will determine the "goalie salary" when they figure what Sandin's contract is. Is it 1.4m or 4.2m, depending on the an offer sheet.
So may the Leafs plan might be, Campbell and cheap Sandin. or an expensive Sandin and cheap goalie...maybe Holtby or a retained trade for someone.

Leafs will not be matching Sandin's offersheet, the fact that dubas had an extended offseason to move Muzzin and brisebois had a mcdonagh trade done within days of exiting the final is showing his incompetence.

I can't blame Dubas for not moving Muzzin. His NTC and his iffy healthy makes him untradable.
Leaf management as a group as shown incompetence in player contract negotiations, poor TDL trades, poor drafting (and lack of draft picks), and UFA signings.

Actually lack of drafting yes. But their drafting is ranked one of the best.


Muzzin is and was 100% tradable. There is no such thing as untradable.
