Possible, but Minnesota kinda has full leverage right now, and toronto is in big need of a goalie if Campbell walks. For the cap hit and such, I don't think the Leafs would be too worried about forking over a 2nd

Except for the fact that they don’t because it’s public that Talbot isn’t too pumped about the situation. One team with a sad goalie and a team that needs a goalie.

I could play the leverage game right back and say that talbot is on the verge of demanding a trade and Minnesota needs the cap.

I'm not sure Leafs are interested in giving up what will most likely be our first pick in next years draft for 1 year of talbot. I'm also quite sure that guerin doesn't want to trade talbot. More than likely a trade doesn't materialize.
