There is probably almost no chance Winnipeg gives up a first for Toews no matter how much you retain. He's just way too risky to consider at that price.

I meant to add my explanation for that and a couple other things but forgot. Basically, Subban is brought in to help provide some leadership and keep things lighter while the team is abysmal. I gave him 6 mil because, even though he probably doesn't have too many teams wanting him, he would probably retire before playing for a team this bad without a price like that.

I figured it would be. But the value of Kane himself is high. Then add in how many teams would likely be wanting Kane at 5 mil, I'm sure the Hawks could find something like this price somewhere. But, to make it more realistic, I only used pieces I could reasonably see being moved. Kakko seems to be upsetting to them so I wouldn't be surprised to see them moving him to bring in a high-level established player. Lundqvist has been rumored to be on the block for awhile now. And Robertson just seems to be a but of an odd man out of the Rangers D prospects, either him or Zac Jones. They seem to value Schneider and Miller, and then throw in Lindgren and their top 4 is pretty established for the future. So I wouldn't be surprised if one of Robertson or Jones is moved and I just chose Robertson because I saw his name first.
