D-core is nasty. Just need to acquire a true number one starter, and upgrade on the wing and they will be an absolute force

I think they deal Severson for a nice package if Nemec is rolling on nicely

I mean I could see it but severson is a really good defensemen I think they are looking to extend him hes not old hes only 27 and has said he wants to stay and see the rebuild through

I agree that a Severson trade is more likely with Nemec and Casey both drafted

I still think they extend Severson, but make the contract tradable in a couple of years (if they can). If he would sign something like 6 x $6.5m without NMC or full NTC, NJD should do it. If he asks for $7m+ or NMC then they probably have to look at moving him.

I think one small regret may be moving the Chesley pick for Casey, as I am hugely bullish on the former.

Our young dcore is stacked: Nemec, Hughes, Casey, Bahl, Smith, Mukh, Ohko, Siegs, Walsh

Im a little skeptical of our future bottom 6: Stillman? McLeod? Bastian? Foote? Clarke?

And Edwards too.
When Power left Michigan during parts of last season, Hughes become the highlight.
But Edwards was the guy who stepped up into their top-4.
He is undersized, but great defensively.
He may open next season with Casey on Michigan's 2nd pair.



I am not so worried.
With stable top-6 plus 3C and 4C, we can find wingers each year via trades, signings or pipeline.
Its still goaltending that worries me a bit.
