you said please comment so here are a few - the Isles can't trade their 2023 third round draft pick - it's tied up in conditions from the Andrew Ladd trade. That also will almost certainly take it out of play before this upcoming seasons trade deadline.

I don't think Bode Wilde has much trade value right now - not sure adding him helps us get Tarasenko (couldn't hurt to try)

So many Isles fans want to trade Varlamov - I think it's a terrible idea - He's still very good and there's no reason to force a huge workload on Sorokin. The money you save from Varly to new goalie 2 in this case Samsonov is going to be 3mil or less - that won't be a make or break in making team better. Also, how many backup goalies were forced into playoff action this year? You need two hands to count - if god forbid Sorokin gets hurt, team wouldn't lose a step with him (including reg season where in such a great division every point will matter and goalie2 on isles will still get 25-35 games)
