You can only trade Price to teams that want to win now and those teams aren't going to give you big pieces of their core in return.

It's going to be picks/prospects.

I could see something where Calgary trades for MAF but only to quickly flip him to MTL along with picks/prospects for Price. Bergevin might be able to sell a Price trade that way if they get a francophone goalie with a solid resume fresh of a deep playoff run (or Cup win) to replace him while retooling other parts of the roster in the process.

Of course, re-signing Price would be priority #1 for the Habs, but if he is hesitant it may be a good idea to rip the band aid off before it becomes a distraction for the next season ending in him ultimately leaving for nothing.
