They had almost identical point totals. Puljujarvi is 4 years younger and was almost PPG through 25 games before his injury. COVID and his injury caused him to have a bad second half of the season. If that was true then why has Edmonton been so adamant about moving him every offseason. Also Brown may be signed for 3.6m this year but could be shipped out at 1.8m, that’s without mentioning that Puljujarvi is an RFA and likely looking for a decent raise…

If you think Puljujarvi’s worth more than Brown then the swap simply doesn’t happen.
