Description
Bring in Ovis buddy's, who, by the way, are pretty good players that can help the Caps anyway. Lineup is good but better once Wilson comes back. I think there are enough vets in the forward group to not worry about all the Hershey kids on the roster. This team will make the playoffs for sure I think.

I don’t c why the isles would trade Varly for Vanecek and a 3rd. Washington is a division rival and that’s an underwhelming return. Personally I’d rather just have an elite tandem for one more year.

Because Sorokin's the dude and VV would be a nice (and cheaper) backup.

cap space and varly is getting worse. he is still good but i would rather get younger and give vanecek time with Mitch Korn to develop even more. and clear cap

To make the post season the isles have to leap frog either Pittsburgh or Washington. I see no reason to help either team before next season tbh.

It has it's risk I know, but, again, Sorokin is really good and VV is no slouch either. AND you have Mitch Korn...end of story...wink

penguins arent going to be better than us. they are losing likely both letang and malkin. they are going to suck. and this move gives us a net gain. I would rather go after a FA and have vanecek and varly on the capitals than have varly and less cap

I agree but I would be calling western conference teams before Washington. That’s all.

Maybe. this is just a scenario if the Caps don't land Trocheck, Copp, Kadri, Gireau, etc...He would have to be pretty pi**ed at the Pens to sign here. lol
