Would they consider moving gurianov? Obviously at his cap hit it would take a good return but with resigning Robertson and Benn/seguin still on the books dunno if there’s room

The only reason TO would move Holl is for cap space. Full stop. This doesn't give them that, it adds cap and they get a useless forward.

Because they improve their awful defence. For crying out loud, you have Ceci in your top 4. Holl is lightyears better than him.

Haha what? Holly isn't good. Ceci was a top 2 defenceman in our run. I thought the same but it's actually a really good signing

Don't be mad another player is playing good just because he didn't play well on your favorite team

I think holl could be a cheap 3rd pair buy-low option for the oil as Keith isn’t going anywhere. Leafs fans drove Ceci out of town and was arguably the Oilers best dman last year. Don’t see why lightning couldn’t strike twice. Even if it’s for a draft pick and not foegele.

Your run was a total mirage. LA was only a playoff team because the Pacific is the weakest division in the league by a wide margin. Calgary has a long track record of collapsing in the playoffs but took on a bad team in Dallas and beat them before losing to an equally mediocre Oilers team. It was no surprise to see Colorado blow you out of the water. Bad goaltending, weak depth and bad defence.

He isn't good. He's a 3rd pair defender on half the season and doesn't make the other half of the league.

Jealous of what? Having Myers? No, he's a 1-2 million dollar #6 defenceman. At his cap hit, he's one of the worst contracts in the game.

I did, the Oilers had trouble with LA, who wouldn't have made the playoffs in the east. Beat Calgary who would have been a wildcard team in the east and has a history of not showing up when it matters, which they did once again vs Edmonton. Then they got crushed by the best team in the west. Edmonton wouldn't have made the playoffs in the east and if they did they would have been swept by whoever they faced in the 1st round which would have been Florida or Carolina. They just aren't good

who do you cheer for? Edmonton was better than 28 other teams? if you make the playoffs then your there for a reason, what do you want Edmonton to do?? lose? the team that swept the oilers is also up 3-2 to the back to back champs.

They were not better than 28 other teams. They had an easier schedule than every team in the east because they played the majority of their season against the weaker conference. It's a mirage. Take out McDavid and the Oilers are a lottery team.

I have no idea what I am being jealous about. Hence the confusion. What is there to he jealous about? Jealous that they have an easy road to making the playoffs in the Pacific? Jealous that they get to play mediocre teams in the first 2 rounds? Nah, who cares if you get to beat bad teams to hang your hat on getting 2 rounds deep only to be absolutely embarrassed by the first good team you faced.

You sound silly. Like I said, do you want the Oilers to lose every game because their in a weaker division? Whatever you are saying is so stupid and makes you looking ridiculous

Look bud, the reality is the Oiler are the worst run team in hockey. They fired perhaps the worst GM ever in Chiarelli and replaced him with a guy who still thinks it's 1992. They are doomed to do the same thing every year until McDavid gets fed up and leaves.

This off season, Holland will massively overpay for a goalie who isn't going to be worth his contract, he won't address the lack of depth in the bottom 6 and the defence will remain the same. But you'll once again be in the mix for a playoff spot only to get wrecked by actual good teams. Meanwhile teams who are properly doing a rebuild will catch up and pass the Oilers and McDavid will go somewhere else to win.
