Description
Offer sheet is a risk but i think habs won't be the only team trying to go after leafs players with this tool

Originally i thought i should send dallas the 26th and 33rd but based on a few value charts I've seen that would've been crazy overpayment

There's more deals to be made and more RFA's to be signed

Dvorak would be perfect for them, just look at his play and points since MSL toke over, he's a great player and kakko's value is around the 20th pick so dvorak and a 3rd and taking back the nemeth contract is fair value

1st off, Rangers have no need for Dvorak and his overpaid contract. 2nd, Kakko is worth more to the Rangers than Dvorak by a mile and they can easily dump Nemeth's contract or buy it out. VERY easy PASS from the Rangers.

You're going to get heat for these, i go way under what I think these players returns will be so it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. Just hold the receipts til the trades happen. Cowards dont usually hang around to say they were wrong.

You'd be better off just doing Petry for Bourque. I think the 26th and 62nd is too much just to move into 18th but most will just see you take the higher 1st and discount the actual value chart.

Keep telling yourself that. Why do you want to trade him then?

Ducks already have 4 picks in rounds one and two. If they move either direction it's up, not down as they need quality not quantity.

Habs also have 4 picks in the top 2 rounds. They are both looking to do the same thing. Habs have 14 picks this year. If it's not the Ducks it will be another team, they aren't signing 14 players.

I don't doubt the Habs are looking to move up, but the scenario the OP laid out is a little bit far fetched from the get go. The Habs don't actually own the pick he's trying to flip to the Ducks, he's getting that in a separate draft day trade. No reason the Habs can't do multiple trades but it is a lot of moving parts and could easily fall part. Regardless, the #10 isn't available to a team looking to move up.
