Either Gibson is worth trading for, or he's not. Don't people understand the inherent contradiction in acquiring a player to be their starting goaltender but not willing to pay more than the price of a middle-6 forward for him? That's not as good a package as Colorado paid for one year of Darcy Kuemper, and Colorado was under tremendous pressure to get a starting goalie; in contrast, Anaheim is under no pressure to trade Gibson for below his value and he has 5 years left on his deal. If you want to argue that he's not worth getting, that's fine, a large and vociferous portion of your fanbase thinks that; but it's nonsensical for you to say that you want him but don't want to pay for him.
