Not about adding to the deal. Oilers don't want the cap hit. Maybe retina half and there is a conversation but Oilers are looking for a another 3rd pair D. Keith isn't retiring most likely had a good season

I could def see Keith retiring hes played a ton of hockey, if he doesnt youre gonna wanna get rid of that cap. Schmidt is a decent top 4 with puck moving ability. paired up with ceci wouldnt be horrible

Schmidt is not as bad as jets fans make him out to be. Paired with a solid defensive defensemen he is good. Can't forget the Jets system is brutal for a dman like him, hes not a great fit in wpg.

Manson has defensive upside and solidifies that side of the ice

And how much longer is Schmidts contract? Keith has 1 year and then Broberg fills his spot. Keith played well enough that it isn't worth the extra contract length of Schmidt and Oilers will hopefully resign Kulak for $3M or less and he showed he can play too 4 if Keith falters
