Description
I'm sure Vegas will match one of the two offer sheets, and the only way I can see Calgary matching is if Johnny is gone.

I don't know how to judge the Seattle trade but I think it's close the fair value, might seem like I'm not getting enough but I think it's a good draft next year.

If Johnny Gaudreau walks, Calgary easily matches that offer sheet on Andrew Mangiapane.

Doubt Dubas is retaining on Jake Muzzin, And Florida can't afford Muzzin @ $5,500,000 x 2 years they need to shed major salary not take more on.

Take far more than just Kerfoot for any sane GM to take on Petr Mrazeks contract.

Let's face it, they will likely be trading sanheim, possibly at the draft or deadline. A cheap filler is necessary sorry to state obvious facts.

I think if anything Sanhiem is getting extended and Provorov is being moved.
Sanhiem is a better 1LD than Provorov, we can get more for Ivan and will probably be getting a replacement 2LD in that trade if we do

Well then you would know I stated the same thing you said about the Calgary offersheet, you would also know that Florida is only taking on about 2.4M in the deal. And finally if it take a second or third to dump Mrazek and the leafs could fetch a 2nd and 3rd for kerfoot right now it's an absolutely fair price for Chicago especially if he brings his value up even more come deadline especially if they retain on him they will easily net a first from a contender, so stop with this "it will take the world" to dump mrazek

That's fair, I didn't know they valued sanheim over provorov but either way it's just a depth move for a team that didn't have much going for them last year

If you trade William Nylander you get back someone that can replicate not duplicate his scoring and provides more than him in other areas. We need to stop thinking a 1st round pick or two is going to do anything.

Johnny is gone so making the Mangiapane offer sheet makes no sense.

Forsling is better than Muzzin so Florida doesn't even make that trade, And Florida isn't dealing the younger cheaper Dman for a more expensive older Dman with health issues makes no sense for them.

And it will cost more than a 2nd or 3rd round pick to move Mrazeks contract. He can't stay healthy he's inconsistent and at least $1,000,000 overpaid plus has an attitude problem.

I think that's definitely the ideal way of doing it, but that means you are going for an overall better player and if that overall better player is paid similarly than I would rather keep Nylander and the added assets necessary to acquire that better player, next year's draft is much deeper than this year so if I'm shedding 6.9M and getting a really good chance at another top six player than I'm doing it.

No offense but forsling isn't a better damn and if you read the trade it was IF Muzzin is healthy.

I'm not so sure Johnny is gone, he seems to really like the situation in Calgary.

It will not cost more than a second to dump mrazek. Side note what attitude problem? I can't say I've ever heard him say the wrong thing.

When has Muzzin ever stayed healthy the guy is made of glass, you barely touch him and he's out awhile.

As far as Johnny is concerned we shall see, And Calgary will still try and move out both Lucic and Monahan so they still can match the offer sheet on Mangiapane.

Maybe he's changed his tune but Mrazek had major attitude issues when he was in Detroit. Mainly issues with Holland and how he and Babcock were supposedly treating him.

Muzzin was always pretty durable, yeah had a couple injuries but nowhere near the realm of "made of glass" broken foot from shot blocking isn't uncommon and I believe a jaw problem a couple years ago and his concussion problem this year. But when he was back in the playoffs he seemed to be his old self without issue.

If Mrazek costs more than a second to dump than getting rid of Lucic and Monahan will cost the next two firsts because those are just as bad.

I guess on his old team his temper might have been bad but for Toronto minus his performance and health he seems to have been quite the team player kind of guy.

Calgary has just shy of 27M available and they need to sign Johnny 10-10.5m atleast, Tkachuk 9.5-10.5M likely, kylington probably around 4.5M on a long term deal. That puts them at 8 forwards and 5 dmen so let's say they bridge kylington at 2.5M that leaves them with about 5M we will say, I think they will be able to move one of Monahan or Lucic so let's round up and say 10M if they can move one they still have atleast 4 forwards and atleast 1 dmen to sign and thats running a minimum roster size.

Whilst what your saying about Kerfoot can be true, why would CHI want to go through the effort of doing that. Teams know thats what will happen and will diminish the value. Would prefer just to take a 2nd with Mrazek if you need to dump him.

I think you should buy him out the amount of times I see TOR fans trade him to CHI or another team.
