Both teams decline rather easily. Edmonton can’t score enough to outscore their problems if one of McDavid or Draisaitl is out. And the Rangers are nothing without a competent goalie like Shesterkin or a Lundkvist in net. Makes sense for both teams, but neither will do it since it cripples them too much.

Shesterkin will have his number retired as a NYR at this rate. He is the MVP of the league. We'd not have made the playoffs without him.
