Ducks decline. Henrique is 100% undisputedly positive value, and isnt moved for less than a first, he is too important to the Ducks young core. Dont let the main reason Bob Murray was found out to be a toxic GM let you think he has negative value.

Swap Rico for Silfverberg and the Ducks consider it but I cant see them having interest in Myers at all, we just keep Sustr in ANA for around 1M if we want a guy like that

Main piece on the trade from Vancouver is Hoglander. He’s a legit young player who could easily step into Anaheims middle 6 this year and definitely has top 6 upside. He’s probably worth more than a first rounder on his own given his play in the NHL. Henrique may be worth a first but given his contract Anaheim would have to take money back. Not many teams can afford to take on that salary while giving up a high end piece.

Ducks need Ricos contract to hit the cap floor, and we need him at C to insulate our young guys (Zegras, McTavish, Lundestrom). There is no scenario where the Ducks take less value to "move" his contract when he is worth every penny to the Ducks

Comtois, Milano, Tracey, Pastujov, Steel, Jones. I dont see Hoglander as for sure better than anyone of those options. He doesnt really move the needle for ANA. And if you see him as better than (at best Steel and Jones) he still isnt enough to get Rico without having to take on Myers

No reason for VAN to move Hogalnder. Myers is not a cap dump. Gardiner is terrible dman.

Gardiner used to be real good. I know he’s coming off surgery so it’s questionable but it’s only a 1 year commitment and gets out from the Poolman contract

Henrique is obviously more valuable than myers. Basically I view it as Myers for a 3rd and Henrique for Hoglander with the salaries cancelling each other out
