I think Valeri would be great if we could get him for something more like 3 years but i dont think its possible since he will be getting better offers. Hard no on trocheck for me and also huge risk signing forsberg after he scores his career high and also has a career high shooting percentage

panarin had a career year by having 5 more points than his previous best. forsberg had a career year by 20 points more than his previous best. does not quite matchup the same. more often than not the player will regress back to their normal stat line and then get old and even worse.

Generalizations are convenient ways to push a false narrative. What are GM's supposed to do? Never sign UFA's? Then why do teams still do it if they all fail at it? Why is it even legal?
