Idk... buying him out extends his cap hit by two years and those last two years would be a $1.4mil cap hit. They need to just give up the assets to get rid of him. Their pipeline is fine, they can afford to lose a pick and/or a prospect.

If they declined they would not be smart... Miller is likely not staying next year and they might as well get something for him.
