What Inwould be trying is this:
2nd line stays as is. JT take the draws - because he is just that good at it. Once the draw has been taken (JT is winning around 60% of them), Kerfoot and JT switch positions.
This is a tactic the Oilers used with McJesus and Drastaitl, where Leon would take the draw, and then theybwould flip positions.
In employing this with the Leafs, Kerfoot's better foot speed would be better utilized and JT's shot better utilized off the wing, never mind a buy more size in the corners.
Small tweak worth a try.
