    C'mon, even the Blues could find 4.5 to pay Parayko. And if they don't he certainly would get offers of more than 4.5m. And please as suggested by others. Please learn the proper draft compensation.
    When it's 6 or 7 years term.....the compensation goes up.
    Why would the Leafs lose Carrick? They only have to protect Gardiner and Reilly.

    Get real dude? If you're offer sheeting Parayko 7 years @ $4.5 million per. Zero chance that St Louis doesn't match that try more like $6 million to $7 million per at least to stand a chance.

    Teams can go over the cap in the off season, so signing him to the offer sheet doesn't do anything because they can match and then make trades afterwards to free up the cap space.
