Salary Cap is set at that number to reflect the cap savings from Duncan Keith retiring.
This is just my first guess at what the team will look at. Still got a few loose ends to take care of (Mike Smith is a question mark, 4th line can be improved most likely, and the Barrie trade is moreso wishful thinking rather than Larsson actually being on the market. But an Adam Larsson type of player that can play 2nd/3rd line would be the goal in a trade for Barrie)
But i think the trade for Chychrun is plausible if Keith retires. Plenty of cap, plus the Oilers probably want to deal one of the 3 expiring deals anyway (Yamo, Pulju, Kane). Personally I think Yamo is the most expendable and can be replaced by Holloway/Kuzmenko, which they are looking to bring in for next season. Deslauriers was a depth signing and can be changed for any random guy with that cap hit for the 4th line.
Also, if you think the prices are too low for Kane/Puljujarvi, then just eat into the 3 mil left in space I left. Give them each an extra mil if it floats your boat.
Arizona wanted a young 1st round quality player (Yamamoto), a 1st round pick, and a high-end prospect (Konovalov). I think we paid that price so it would be an acceptable offer. Swap out Konovalov for Bourgault if it floats your boat. The other I can see Seattle rejecting, but its moreso a conversation starter than a legit trade.

Konovalov isn't a high-end prospect, and Bourgault would be too high a price to pay. Chychrun is overrated on this site because he had a shooting heater last season that he'll never repeat.
I'd just as soon skip the Larsson trade. I got tired of seeing him get taken wide over and over and over again. He's a stay at home defender who doesn't defend the rush very well anymore. That's not worth $4M.
