I don't see why Dallas gives up Seguin + two 2nd for a year of Price. They have numerous holes to fill and aren't close to be a SC contender. I'd imagine that Seguin is a HUGE part of Dallas future and they wont trade him for a year of Price.

This is fantasy, but one of those holes you reference IS in goal. It would be much easier for them to throw some money around in Free Agentcy to fill other spots (they're not going to fill a superstar center spot admittedly, but Price also isn't in his twilight years either). I think the bigger question and hurdle is what they do with the goalie tandem they already have, Lehtonen and Niemi, if one gets picked up by Vegas would still present cap concerns.

IF Dallas is willing to give this much up, they would do so for more than 1 year of Price. Price can be extended July 1st so in theory it could be a sign and trade or trade and sign... If you can extend players before trading them on here, I just haven't found it.
