Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Leafs need top 4 D, back-up G, 4th line C, depth D, depth F.

Isles need to trade a D or lose one in expansion. They also need a #1 LW for Tavares. Move JVR for Hamonic. Win-win, in theory.

Sign Budaj as back-up G. He can handle #1 workload and is good value for team that can go deep next year.

For this roster, I signed Ruhwedel and S. Gionta as depth D and F.

Sign D. Moore to replace Boyle who may go back to TB. Moore can move up/down the lineup; win faceoffs; play PK, and adds good vet leadership both on and off the ice.

Sign Weal who is a young, streaky scorer and can replace some of the offense lost in the JVR deal. Also is versatile enough to play C, PK, PP if needed.

I don't mind JVR, but the Isles have Ladd and Lee. They need a RW or a 2nd C.

They can't take JVR as it weakens their defense and puts them right on the cap meaning they will have to do more trades and they already need major work.

I agree with both comments above but am hoping the Isles slide Lee in at #2 C. They will lose DeHaan in expansion unless someone goes in a trade prior to Vegas picking their team.
I created an NYI team based off of this.

There is potential deal with the Isles/Leafs pre expansion for a Isles Dman that they can't protect. Either DeHann, Hamonic or Peluch. Although JVR might be a main piece in return in a deal, maybe the Isles would like "futures"
instead of one year JVR. Dermot, Hyman, Bracco (not all of them) comes to mind and a veteran 6/7th Dman such as Marchenko. And the Leafs have cap room, maybe they take Halak for one year since the Isles don't want him.

Isles need a #1RW over #1LW, but i think the value is right.

but how about those UFAs?!?!?! I'll give you credit, you don't shoot for the moon, like most people on here. We have far too many AHL wingers who could make the jump to be signing questionable UFAs like Jordan Weal
I'd rather play: Soshnikov, Leipsic, Leivo, Rychel, Griffith...etc
