Bieksa has a NTC. Can't imagine him waiving it to leave SoCal for the balmy temperatures in Edmonton. Both he and Stoner are also UFA's after next season. It just seems like a lot of future salary obligations on the Ducks end, for a couple of guys that are overpaid on long term deals. $6 mil long term for a 3rd line center is how GM's get fired (Ask Tambo and MacT!).

Aside from Bieksa having an NTC I don't think Anaheim does that IMO. Although as an Oiler fan I'd be okay with Vatanen and Silfverberg coming back.

Will the 7+ million is so-so contracts gone Ducks level out in salary plus do not lose Silfverberg for nothing. Nuge is a great shut down guy with flashes of brilliance ( may do really well as a winger) and Eberle, given how bad fans ride him, still scores 20+ goals annually.

Ducks won't be losing Silvferberg for nothing. They won't lose him at all.

Can you explain further. Who are they not protecting on the blue line to protect silfverberg.

don't see the Ducks really wanting that package. Not really enough space for those contracts with all the extension money they'll need for the blue line (Manson, Montour, etc.) and then the commitment they might have to make to Gibson soon. Value wise - fair. Realistic - probably not.

Further to my point with the trade Ducks would protect
