I realize it's been one game. But with Rielly, Brodie, and Gio each anchoring a line last night, I've never felt so comfortable with our defense. Literally since as far back I can remember. Hopefully Muzzin returns to top form and it will be even greater.

All three pairings could be on the ice and I won't even be nervous (other than Muzzin and his recent play). Hopefully Muzzin and Brodie could be a solid pairing and I do believe Muzzin should play 15-17 minutes a night as opposed to his usual 20+ minutes

simmonds isnt a good hockey player anymore, grit is bs, nobody is scared of simmonds anymore, we went over this the other day, but youre a lou lover so it makes sense, you dont waste a lineup spot for a guy who plays 9m a night and doesnt do much to help the team

Doesn't matter, when teams start taking runs at Leaf players, Simmonds won't be out there to calm things down (if you want him in the press box). I still remember the Flames game when Simmonds wasn't playing and Zadorov laid a beautiful open ice hit on Kase or when Gudbranson started rag dolling Bunting around after pushing him into Makrstrom. No response from anyone, Leafs were intimidated and the Flames were not
