Assuming the Leafs aren’t making any more moves, they’ve effectively addressed the biggest problem that emerged this season (Muzzin’s steep decline), but the issue from the last playoffs is still there and 2L’s weakness has been staring us in the face all season. The 2L and 4L renders this a one-line team, and ripe for a first-round upset. No team with 3 $11m forwards should be easily shutdown, and there aren’t assets or cap space to add more talent. Shuffling things around is the only move, and it’s coming rather late in the season for my tastes… but here’s a crack at it: keep 1L together, but create a sheltered scoring line centered by Nylander. Better? Idk. But more chances lines will be useful, imo.
