Arizona seems to be in a position where they need to meet a cap floor next year. I don't think they need salary retention and claiming Mrazek seems like a no-brainer after they traded Wedgewood because Mrazek has a bit of term.

With Vejmelka being extended too, they'd be pretty well off with two termed goaltenders. They'll have two goalies at roughly $6.5-7m for at least the next two years.

Who knows, I could be wrong.
