Skinner has 5 years left on his deal and every single player will need a new contract before this stupid contract is done.

Also, no Johnny Gaudreau won't sell a single ticket and its idiotic management to shell out 70 million for a player at age 29 when you aren't a contender (or ever).

Gaudreau is probably the only UFA that makes sense, he's in his prime, doesn't get injured, is an elite player, and I don't see a problem with the cap even in the future, but he's not coming here.

Well, this is an unusual rebuild, I bet they are not going to do a long rebuild. I like the option with Copp, but they are completely different players, in many games you can see that we lack an elite talent in attack, that there is one strong link that is not even always stable, there is the only elite talent in Dahlin and that's it. I'm sure we won't have any Gaudreau, I just said that we really miss a player of his level. Maybe they will draft Cooley, Slaf or Savoie, who in the future will be able to somehow compensate for this.

Unless the Pegulas screw it up again, I think they are content to add to the young core of Dahlin, Power, Thompson, Tuch, Cozens (quinn, petterka, krebs) The 2 1sts and 2 2nds in 2021, 3 1sts in 2022 and 3 2nds in 2023 should hopefully influx significant talent into the system.

I would prefer to wait until 2023-24 to do anything dumb when we can flush out what we have a bit more.

Man, it Pegulas, expect something stupid, there are already all sorts of different rumors about the sale of the team and the fact that Pegulas have cooled off.
