The Ducks probably don't want defense as a return in their trades. Dermott from what I understand is a pretty good prospect, but ANA already has enough of those, so the return would have to have a forward be the centerpiece of a return. Also the Ducks are really high on Manson, so you would probably have to pay over value for him.

It is a good start. A question that needs to be answered is how does Bob Murray view the 2017 draft. I think he'd want more if the pick is from 2017. Murray never doesn't pick in the 1st round, and he traded away our first for a rental in Eaves. Which tells me how much he thinks of this draft, so he probably would want more.

Ducks might consider the cost efficient Manson "untouchable". Maybe Vatanen might the guy they trade.

I'd say Vatanen would be the likely guy on the way out if any of them are moving.

I find it interesting watching a lot of the mock drafts for Vegas where Silfverberg and one of Manson/Vatanen are available...most go for Silfverberg, meaning a D move may not actually be necessary.

The problem is the D is easily replaceable in the system, Silfverberg isn't (there isn't as much forward depth in general). So trading someone on defense is critical in my opinion.
