As the self-proclaimed GM of the Leaf's, I would not hang up the phone, but this deal isn't in our best interest. First, we need to start protecting our picks. Second, Rakell, Rickard wasn't even on our Radar, and third, the ducks would need to take back a contract and some salary to make this work...I appreciate the salary retention but we will need to unload Holl and maybe now a forward if Rakell was to fit.

They should give up what it takes to get Klingberg. And they need to do something about their goalie situation. I really like Joonas Korpisalo as a fit. I also think they need a forward like Cal Clutterbuck or a guy that brings that style of game into the lineup.

They would need those 3 components added to have a strong shot this year.
