It wouldn't take that much but you are on the right track here.

If you take out the 2nd and 3rd you've probably got a deal. Canucks fans will say otherwise but, they would be incorrect.

Yeah that would be an overpayment, a lot of the leaf trolls on here would say its not enough, but you are right they would be incorrect. The only thing is that the retention of salary is worth quite a bit as well, I cannot see the Canucks retaining salary in any miller deal, other teams wouldn't pay the additional price to retain, and would prefer to send salary back in the deal.

I saw a Canucks fan propose Miller to the rangers for Schneider and a first, and Schenn to the leafs for a third. I think a comparable package from the leafs for Miller would be Niemela and a first, or Liljegren, propsect and a first. If the leafs target Miller, I would try to get Schenn back in the deal as well, I think this would be enough to get the deal done:

Van - Niemela, Holl, 2022 First, 2023 Third, maybe even add a lesser prospect as well.

Tor - Miller, Schenn

Take out the Liljegren, 3rd, and Mikheyev and add Niemela
