What would make it better for the Ducks?

ANA is going to need a decent piece added to this. I think the CHI portion is ok. Taking Holl's cap hit for an additional year needs to be paid for. I'm sure ANA doesn't are about Carrick, but Manson has value (not first rounder value but the second is good). Mikayev is serviceable but not a piece that has value. He's just to make the cap work. The General can let you know better than I could what the extra piece would be needed, but I think it would be something like a young Dman (Kral / Krys / Hollowell) depending on their RD / LD need, and a second pick like a 4th or 5th.

I think you’re pretty spot on besides the Carrick take. I love him on the 4th line playing either C or RW — but I do think Mikayev is kind of just a throw in here

That's a fair request, although I disagree about Mikeyev being just a throw-in. He is a top-six winger. I often feel if he had more ice he would be a 60 point player in the right position. He will never get that shot in Toronto because of Nylander and Marner. Because we have had a good history with the ducks and wish to continue with that in mind I would add Kral to this offer and solidify this transaction.

I agree with your assessment of Mikeyev, though most on here think much differently. I love him on our team, but he'll probably be an off season casualty.
