I think the Miller return will be less but put that just for the sake of seeing how the team fits

Clutterbuck will get at least a 3rd, maybe a 2nd with 50% retention.

I think it's plenty fair for Anaheim, Kerfoot is a LW or C on pace for 56 points this season. They could either keep him or flip him for a good return, bordering on huge return if they retained on him

That canucks trade is pretty fair, I would accept.

I don't see VAN retaining salary on a Miller trade because he has a year left. It looks like a pretty reach deal with Niemela in, too. (Maybe the Holl for Schenn could be a thing, tho) That being said, Clutterbuck could come with 50% retention that covers the 1.75m (or in the vicinity).

Didn't care about the 1.75 so much this year as next from a Leafs perspective. What it would do is it would bring Miller's AAV to 3.5M, which is the same as Kerfoot, meaning the cap situation remains the same next year and all we do is upgrade Kerfoot to Miller. Yea its a stretch to retain, but it's also a stretch to add Niemela as you said, so maybe that somewhat evens out. I don't wanna trade Niemela, much less add the other pieces on top, but if Muzzin is out until playoffs I don't see a better opportunity for the Leafs to add in the future
