So basically Carolina is giving Staal away for a 2nd, 3rd, Tristan Jarry (who may never make the NHL) and Scott Wilson (who also may never make the NHL, and at best, 4th line center) and two cap dumps in the twilight of their career?

Jesus Christ... why are people in Pittsburgh so horrible at making fair trades? Or using critical thinking skills?

Also, Scuds has a NTC anyways. He wouldn't waive to spend the last 2 years of his career playing for a losing team. Stop sending Scuds to bottom feeders. He won't go.

Mr Hibbits, I agree. Your statement about the two bad contracts for two years is spot on. BUT.. Jordan Staal has SIX years at SIX million a year left on his contract. He must thank Jim "it's not my money" Rutherford for his deal. If a fairy dust miracle occurred and Scuderi, Kunitz and Staal waived their NTC, and Pittsburg assumed all of Staal's 36million contract, then Carolina would have a GREAT deal.

Dude, this is for fun on rumors that I saw. Scuds was mentioned to need to be in the deal for it to work cap wise. Think before you flip out.
