If Fiala would sign that contract it would've been done ages ago. He reportedly was asking for over $7 million last offseason. He has 27 points in his last 29 games and is showning no signs of slowing down while on an 11 game point streak (14 pts during that streak). If we want to keep Fiala, he's going to need a raise and money is going to have to be moved out. My bet would be Dumba getting traded. He'll be a UFA after next season and with the stupidly large contracts being handed out to defensemen these days, there's no way he doesn't get a much better offer elsewhere as our dead money increases to over $14.7 million.
