Canucks Trade Miller

Description
Kyle Clifford is just in there if shedding the cap flexibility is at all beneficial. Obviously, he is on the taxi squad at the moment but I feel Nick Robertson could be an alternative call-up/13th FWD. That also explains why I chose Amirov over Robertson but otherwise, I feel they are equivalent prospects in my opinion (both recent early picks/ lost ice-time this season to injury).

The four asset evaluation is based on the value JT Miller brings to the Maple Leaf top-9, with the bonus being the cap-relief for next season of bringing Ritchie and Holl back. Meanwhile, Schenn comes in to replace Holl as an RHD on a league minimum salary. With the amount that the Leafs get out of this, I could see even more value needing to go the Canucks' way.

I read somewhere that Holl could be expendable because he's having a down season on a $2M salary but we could only take Ritchie if Leafs' fans value Holl's play over the cap space created by him leaving

Holl's inclusion also depends on his 10 teams NTC not including Vancouver.

I think we should keep holl. Heand Sandin have looked really really good the last two games

Fair enough, thoughts without Holl in there? Wasn't necessarily adding value to the Canucks' side of things from my perspective.

I think it's a little on the expensive side. We want to hold on to Niemela
But I think the leafs will go for a d-man rather than a forward

Relative to the current lineup, Chychrun probably has a bigger positive impact than Miller for the leafs so that's fair. Canucks biggest need is at RD so I think Niemela would need to be included for sure to get Miller.

Just to be clear, you're arguing for more heading the canucks way yeah? I said that in the description as well but this would be a good baseline. As a Canucks fan myself I don't think either Amirov or Niemela or anything to scoff at.

I mean compared to what? I really doubt we are going to haul in Lafrenière here and I think these kinds of guys are at the top of the range of prospects we can realistically get.

I would really like to see Miller as a leaf but Niemela is the one prospect I think we need to hold onto. Not guarantee he hits but starting to look like he has big potential, it’s a lot harder to find and develop defensive prospects. Sooner trade Robertson and amirov than niemela but that’s just me.
