Honestly, I don't think it's a huge deal. If you are relying on your backup the playoffs is already lost.
I don't think they need CD to win many games to make the playoffs.
So I just don't see the urgency in a move like this. Especially when you have a team that is loaded with young goaltenders. Tis better to show them opportunity.

Pittsburgh is not a team loaded with young goaltenders, they barely have any prospect pool as it is, and you don't want to be relying on Domingue as your backup

A. please don't tell me what I do and don't want to do. Domingue has played fine. Like I said they should play him more before making a move.

I see no need for them to waste a pick on another goalie who's a rental. If they have to rely on a backup when the games count, they have already lost anyway.

Both Clang and Blomqvist are highly regarded goalie prospects. Furthermore, goalies are making jumps much earlier in their careers in hockey today.

what has that got to do with them having known good goalie prospects. Both of those guys were 2/3 of the highest rated goalies in the draft class.
Why are you even arguing that? Do you even know who they are, or you just read some nonsense and go with it.

The strength of a clubs prospect pool isn't just based on quantity, but also the quality of the talent

Idk man Lindberg, Clang, and Blomqvist after Jarry is pretty damn good

Maybe beyond this season, but I don't think I'd throw them to the wolves in this post-season
