Hoping it's the same Kane that came in humble with the Sharks when he was dealt to San Jose.. With bringing him in and getting healthy upfront it really make Yamamoto expendable, so, you can try package him with Koskinen and possibly Benson, and a pick upgrade to bring in a younger cheaper G who has higher upside, and with more playing time than he's been getting in Seattle and having a better D core/team in front of him I can see Dreidger finding a form similar to when he was in FLA, not quite what he was in FLA, but better than what he's been thus far, let alone what Koskinen and Smith have been all year.. Blackwell is a low key pickup that can be a solid 3rd line scoring C/W, or play the 4th line role and 2nd unit PP, possibly play up in the lineup too, while being a league min deal.. For the bottom pairing LHD whether it's Soucy or even Hadyn Fleury they'd be a better fit there than what has been rotating there already..
Basically giving up youth and potential to take on Koskinen's deal and acquire some decent pieces they need, IF Kane in fact signs in Edmonton.. The pick can even be a conditional pick(cause Holland loves those) and base it on playing time for Dreidger and how deep they go for a playoff run to have that 3rd become the 2nd next year...
Plus if anybody else wants say Russell for depth, or Koekoek and hopefully Derek Ryan(maybe added to the Seattle deal being a Washington native as well) or Kyle Turris too, can maybe package them with a late pick and get a pick upgrade for a return...
