+ Canucks trade Gudbranson, Grandlund and a 2nd for Landeskog

All these things IMO are possible this offseason. This team composition can make the playoffs if several players rekindle their games and several rookies (or thereabouts) step up.

Any player on that list is currently a better or more established player than Landeskog. I think this is more than fair exchange for this guy.

The Oilers can likely compete for a cup soon. They are missing two key ingredients: (1) a top pairing guy who can play 20+ minutes a night against tough competition. (2) a strong 3rd line center who can play a shutdown role against bigger western conference centers.

Both Sutter and Edler address these needs. By trading Hopkins (who has clearly under-performed over the last few seasons), EDM only gains $3m.
