Am I the only one that doesnt love trading for McDavid? The gap between him and AM34 is quickly closing, plus the sheer amount you would have to give up would be horrible. That being said Ken Holland is in charge so you could probably bully him into the fumbling the trade

people are going to kill me for this comment. But a 6'4 220 Selke-level defensive forward with the best goal scoring abilities in the game today is built better for the playoffs (trust me folks I see the irony here associating a Leaf with playoff performance, but Oilers aren't exactly Tampa Bay either). Now 1 for 1, Matthews for McDavid I'll take it, but the amount that people would expect you to add on top of Matthews just because it's McDavid would not be worth it
