Description
If the Sharks make it, here’s the lines I’d go with, given everyone is healthy (Knyzhov still might be out). I wanted to fit in Cogs somehow, but it’s basically a choice between Nieto, Gregor, and Cogliano. Gregor paired with one of Labanc or Kessel would be deadly, but I want to utilize Philip The Thrillip as much as possible, and having him paired with Dahlen who is natural playmaker and Couture who is a Jack of all trades, but mostly a goal scorer could be an insane 2nd line. Hertl, Meier, and Barabanov stay together until the end of time. Defense has some question marks, but Middleton and Karlsson ARE the 1st pairing.

It's a good idea but I think Arizona could get better value for Kessel elsewhere. We'd probably have to trade a 2nd rounder at least to land him. Good lineup too. I would consider playing Merkley over Vlasic or Simek though.

I like it. Personally I'd ship Cogliano for a 3rd/4th if he's to be scratched since there's other guys like Viel or Gadjovich who can fill in that 13th forward role but other than that I consider it a solid deadline for DW. And Merkley over Simek too.

So the only reason I kept “Vlasimek” together was analytically, they are one of the most effective shutdown pairings when together, granted they’re playing bottom six forwards for the most part, and you should have enough offense in the blue line from Burns, Ferraro and Karlsson (Sometimes even Simek). The deal for Kessel is a little how hum I know, but you could trade someone for another pick and add it to the deal.

Fair point honestly.
