I probably wouldnt put Reichel at center, but it seems king is intent on doing so, so I will run with that. the 1st line is basically "okay, you're our future for the moment. Build some chemistry" and everything else follows based on whos left. Defensively I would build it
De Haan-Jones
McCabe-Murphy
Stillman/C.Jones-Galvas
Galvas proved he is useful and worth investing resources for his future, so we can give him some all situations minutes while still keeping him somewhat sheltered.
Post deadline :
Dont think I have to explain the EDM trade, its been around before. Value isnt the main point of it at the moment. Yamamoto can probably be swapped with any solid prospect that isnt holloway
FLA trade : I've seen some rumblings here and there about them looking for a defenseman, and as a UFA who has played well this season, he makes sense if youre not looking to give up a big investment after already giving up your first and second rounders for this year. Some salary can probably be retained as well.
CGY : You took Gus last year, here he is for even cheaper this year. He started off slow but before he hit the protocols hes quietly been one of our better defensemen analytically. I dont expect much but get him out of my face because we arent re-signing him
Now for the only trade on here that doesnt HAVE to happen : Kubalik to Anaheim. Now im not really sure on what the return would be, given his down season, but it certainly wouldnt be a top prospect like Mason McTavish. I think Kubalik makes sense for the Ducks for a few reasons here. 1. He is a pure goal scorer with a 30 goal season under his belt to match Zegras's playmaking. 2/3 go hand in hand, with 2 being that the Ducks currently find themselves in the mix for the postseason, so adding at the deadline to try and sneak in and make a splash may make sense, but 3 Kubalik is an RFA, so its not a single season investment for a young and upcoming team, and the Ducks are one of the few teams where cap wont be a problem AND it makes sense for them to trade for him at the deadline. Either way, I havent included a return because its not the main point of this post, and its probably not gonna happen. I'd like to hear comments from Ducks fans on how he would fit on your team.
And then below is my lineup post deadline trades : only main points to note are that Kosk can be the backup to Lank, who is hoping to get his groove back for next season, and Galvas can get some more minutes in replace of De Haan
Let me know what you think. Getting everyone out for a good price at the deadline might be a little wishful, but if we arent close to the playoffs, it has to happen for the future of the club

I imagine they probably dont want to give up their 3rd rounder for this year and be without a pick for 3 rounds in a row
I would say that Edmonton would've been in on Flower a week ago but, Holland made it clear this week that he isn't trading a 1st or quality prospects for rentals

Thats fair. I hope he changes his mind. McDavid and Drai deserve to win for once. Theyre too good to be held down by management refusing to make a splash at the deadline.

I mean, if you think so, I wont disagree. This is a trade Ive seen posted around so I didnt want to be controversial and try to reinvent the wheel
jjkhaira is right here. Although, if Holland didn't make those comments, I'd still say its too much. I think the 1st is fair value, and maybe a B prospect like Kemp at the most.

Thats fine with me. As I mentioned in the description, Yamamoto could probably be replaced with any prospect not named holloway and I would accept it, i just picked a trade i have seen around a few times
Why does everyone think yamamoto isn't worth anything. Young top 6 forwards don't come cheap

I quite like Yamamoto, which is why I chose this version of the trade to include. This trade was not my creation, but as it is stirring up more of a controversy than was intended for the point of this post, I will change it
I think Kublaik would fit quite well into the current Ducks team. Acquiring him would help compensate a potential Rakell trade (which would be a logical move). The two main factors when considering a trade for Kubalik would be the contract he wants next year and the kind of value the Ducks would have to send back.

Im glad you agree. Value is definitely an interesting point of contention, considering both are in a similar spot. I have had thoughts of doing a 3 way around the premise of Rakell and Kubalik sort of looking like this
to Ana : Kubalik, plus a pick for probably retaining on rakell
to contender : Rakell retained
to Chi : Picks/prospects
It would be complicated but im sure there wont be a shortage of teams interested in Rakell especially if hes retained

Could work. Depends on the pick / picks the Ducks would send to Chicago directly. I'm generally opposed to the idea of the Ducks trading picks, prospects or young players at the moment, but since Kubalik is still young-ish, I could see it being a good trade for Anaheim.

Yeah it's not just you, and I understand non oilers fans not knowing his value, but its insane to me the amount of oilers fans that think we should trade him for next to nothing

I didn't hear the quote so I could be wrong, but this could easily be posturing, too. The farther the Oilers fall from a playoff spot, the more likely he's able to come off that, saying "they included salary" or "we got a draft pick back" or "it's not just a rental because we also got a quality kid in Reese Johnson."
