Not exactly. Bouchard has already proven that he's a top 4 dman in his first year. After seeing his development it's very likely that he can a top pairing dman within the next 2-3 years as long as he follows his trend upward. And, Bouchard can sign an extension anytime between now until his contract is expired. Giving whichever team has him a good chance to sign him this off season for cheap (6-7 for long term).
